CORPORATE

Guelph, ONT- Skyjack began manufacturing scissor lift work platforms in 1986 and through the 1990’s grew to over 30% market share to become a world leader in this sector of the aerial lift industry. Despite poor market conditions and a major consolidation of the rental industry in recent years, Skyjack remains a dominant player who has adapted rapidly to the changing face of the industry. The company has undergone many changes in the past 3 years and is now positioned for a solid rate of growth in the years to come.

Quality and reliability are the hallmarks that have given Skyjack a solid reputation as the manufacturer of the best scissor lifts in the world. Skyjack products are manufactured, sold and supported worldwide. In August 2002 Skyjack was purchased by Linamar Corporation (LNR, TSX), a leading manufacturer of precision-machined components, assemblies and modules. Linamar’s solid balance sheet gives Skyjack increased strength and long-term stability.

Skyjack products range in working heights from 21-56 feet in both electric and internal combustion powered rough terrain models. Skyjack also offers its customers a comprehensive worldwide product support network. Skyjacks newest venture includes a division called RECON. Located next to the manufacturing facility in Guelph, Ontario, RECON offers a complete reconditioning program for aging aerial work platforms. This program is proving to be a value added part of Skyjack’s business. By offering trade packages the company drives both the reconditioned and new equipment sales.

Skyjack also recently has made an extensive update to its corporate image. Response to the company’s new look has been very positive and new sales tools are being introduced every day. Providing customers with the highest quality and most reliable products have been the key to Skyjack’s success thus far, a reputation the company will build on in the future. Skyjack wants the world to know that the best scissor lifts in the world are getting even better!
