Skyjack Bringing New Scissor Lifts and Articulating Booms to 2026 APEX & IRE
POSTED May 19, 2026
May 19, 2026; Linamar Corporation’s (TSX-LNR) Skyjack division is excited to exhibit their all-new scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts at APEX & IRE 2026 in Maastricht, Netherlands, from June 2 to June 4 at the Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Center (MECC).
“Our team looks forward to engaging with customers and partners at APEX and showing exactly how our cutting-edge, quality engineered access equipment can benefit rental companies and operators,” said Charlie Patterson, Skyjack’s President. “Visitors to Stand 320 at the MECC will receive first-hand experiences with Skyjack’s innovative new products that are designed to maximize machine utilization, return on investment, and environmental performance.”
New Skyjack machines on display at APEX & IRE:
- The new compact, zero emission, low noise SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN battery-powered electric slab booms feature a platform height starting at 44’ 11” (13.69 m) and have been designed to offer superior performance across indoor and outdoor jobsites. With a platform capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg), a 4’ 8” (1.4 m) jib as standard, and a narrow width of 4’ 11” (1.5 m), the SJ45 AJN provides class-leading up-and-over access capability of 25’ 7” (7.8 m). This new slab boom offers outstanding onsite maneuverability and precision to work in confined spaces. The SJ45 ARJN represents one of the few machines in this class to offer a rotating jib, which provides horizontal movement to allow precise positioning of the platform and increased productivity. These narrow machines are capable of access through double standard doors, offer a low stowed-height of 6’ 6” (1.98 m), and have a weight under 16,000 lbs (7,258 kg) that increases ease of transport.
- The recently launched SJ3232 E electric drive scissor lift represents the newest model in Skyjack’s range of slab scissors. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the narrow width, machine length of only 91.6” (2.33 m), 550 lb (249 kg) capacity, and low machine weight of just 5,850 lbs (2,654 kg), make the SJ3232 E ideal when both height and compact performance are needed. No stabilizers also mean the SJ3232 E is drivable at full height (platform height is 31’ 7” or 9.63 m). These machines provide a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution with zero emissions, low operating costs, and increased utilization.
- The new SJ5545 E electric drive scissor lift represents the highest working height scissor in Skyjack’s range of slab scissors and includes innovative design features, high platform capacities, and a clean, quiet, sustainable rental solution. With a platform height of 45’ (13.72 m) and a load capacity of 770 lbs (350 kg), this E-Drive model boasts exceptionally responsive control and maneuverability. The scissor stack design of the SJ5545 E features fully welded cross-bracing that increases rigidity and improves operator comfort at height. This scissor is drivable at full height, offers a 2-person wind-rating at 22’ (6.7 m), and provides the largest working areas in its class with a robust, all-steel, anti-slip platform.
- The all-new SJ6940 RTE electric rough terrain scissor lift has a platform height of 40’ (12.19 m) and a platform capacity of 800 lbs (363 kg), setting a new benchmark as the tallest RTE in Skyjack’s compact RT scissor class. Engineered with productivity and jobsite versatility in mind, the SJ6940 RTE delivers the longest working area in the class with a main platform at 11’ 1” (3.38 m) in length. A smart electric drive system and front oscillating axle tackles tough jobsite terrain and auto-leveling outriggers (standard on CE models) maximize usability. The new SJ6940 RTE is an environmentally friendly and sustainable choice with zero emissions, smart 414 Ah AGM battery power, and universal smart charging.
- The SJ60 AJHE+ represents Skyjack’s new hybrid-electric and battery-electric rough terrain articulating boom range. Skyjack has designed these versatile new machines to navigate various rough terrain conditions and deliver performance in emission-restricted sensitive indoor worksites. These new booms have been developed without compromising performance or features found in diesel machines. The range has common specifications, parts, capacities, reach, and dimensions across all-electric, hybrid-electric, and diesel options, allowing rental companies to choose preferred power within a single machine. Skyjack booms are renowned for a superior driving experience, a consistent, multi-function capability, and machine reliability.
- Skyjack’s popular all-electric Vertical Masts and Micro Scissors, E-Drive Slab Scissors, and Rough Terrain Scissors will also be on display at the Skyjack stand in Maastricht.

- Panel Carrier - Our new Panel Carrier, designed for use with compact and conventional DC electric scissors, has been designed following feedback from the members of the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and is designed specifically for applications that require holding and lifting sheet materials. With a focus on ease of use, the new Panel Carrier requires no modification or tools for installation. The rated workload is up to 125 lbs (56.7 kg) and the maximum panel size is now 12’ x 4’ x 5/8” (3.66 m x 1.22 m x 1.59 cm).
- LanyardGO - For booms, Skyjack is introducing LanyardGO to detect when an operator has attached their harness lanyard to the lanyard attachment point on the platform. A proximity sensor detects whether or not the lanyard is attached, while coloured LED lights and audible alarm indicate whether machine operation is good to ‘go’ or not. The LanyardGO anchor point inhibits machine operation until the operator attaches their lanyard to the LanyardGO device. Once clipped to the lanyard attachment point, machine functionality returns. LanyardGO is available as a factory installation or as an aftermarket offering.
- SKYPROTECT & SKYPROTECT+ - SKYPROTECT is a secondary guarding lift sensing option for scissors that detects potential collision hazards in the area above the operator through a control box mounted ultrasonic sensor. Upon entering an adjustable, pre-set ‘warning zone’, an e-stop light will warn the operator. Once the ‘stop’ zone is reached, the operator can choose to override or remain stopped. SKYPROTECT+ combines SKYPROTECT with Skyjack’s existing secondary enable switch to provide additional functionality through the use of a secondary switch for lifting and reverse driving.
“Skyjack’s access machines, like our new slab scissors, rough terrain scissors, and articulating booms, are designed to meet true jobsite performance expectations in a wide range of indoor and outdoor construction, maintenance, and industrial applications,” adds Mark Trowman, Skyjack’s Product Development Manager. “At APEX, our team will also be showcasing Skyjack’s quiet and compact all-electric vertical masts and micro scissors that are in high demand on low-level access jobsites like data centre, logistics, and warehousing development.”
The Skyjack team welcomes visitors to Stand 320 at APEX & IRE 2026 in Maastricht, Netherlands, from June 2 to June 4 at the Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Center (MECC).
