The Working at Height Awards celebrate the people, products, and organizations driving real progress across the powered access and working at height sector. These prestigious awards shine a spotlight on those who are raising the bar for safe, effective, and responsible work at height around the world. “Skyjack takes pride in providing products that meet true jobsite performance expectations for a wide range of indoor and outdoor construction, maintenance, and industrial applications. Skyjack continues to show its commitment to creating equipment and sharing expertise that contributes to safe workplaces,” shared Charlie Patterson, Skyjack President. “Thank you to IPAF North America for recognizing Skyjack’s innovative new booms and accessories.”
The award-winning SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN battery-powered electric slab booms feature a working height starting at 50’ 11” (15.69 m). Skyjack’s compact, zero emission, low noise SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN have been designed to offer superior performance across indoor and outdoor jobsites. With a platform capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg), a 4’ 8” (1.4 m) jib as standard, and a narrow width of 4’ 11” (1.5 m), the SJ45 AJN provides class-leading up-and-over access capability of 25’ 7” (7.8 m). This new slab boom offers outstanding onsite maneuverability and precision to work in confined spaces. The SJ45 ARJN represents one of the few machines in this class to offer a rotating jib, which provides 180° horizontal movement (ANSI) or 132° horizontal movement (CE) to allow precise positioning of the platform and increased productivity. These narrow machines are capable of access through double standard doors, offer a low stowed-height of 6’ 6” (1.98 m), and have a weight under 16,000 lbs (7,258 kg) that increases ease of transport.
Skyjack’s award-winning ACCESSORYZERSTM are designed to add functionality and convenience. SKYPROTECT is a secondary guarding lift sensing option for scissors that detects potential collision hazards in the area above the operator through a control box mounted ultrasonic sensor. Upon entering an adjustable, pre-set ‘warning zone’, an audible warning and e-stop light will warn the operator. Once the ‘stop’ zone is reached, the operator can choose to override or remain stopped. SKYPROTECT+ combines SKYPROTECT with Skyjack’s existing secondary enable switch to provide additional functionality through the use of a secondary switch for lifting and reverse driving.
At the event, the International Powered Access Federation also named Skyjack’s Product Safety Training Supervisor, Bart Krzysztofek, as the IPAF Person of the Year. This award recognizes Bart Krzysztofek’s outstanding dedication, leadership, and continuous contributions to advancing safe working practices at height across North America.
Skyjack’s SJ3232 E electric drive slab scissors and the LanyardGO harness lanyard detection system for booms were also shortlisted for the 2026 Working at Height Awards. Discover more about Skyjack’s award-winning products at www.skyjack.com.
