Skyjack Articulating Boom Supports Fall Tree Seed Harvesting at University of Guelph Arboretum

POSTED October 27, 2026

October 27, 2026; Linamar Corporation’s (TSX:LNR) Skyjack division proudly supported the 2026 conservation and research efforts of The Arboretum at the University of Guelph as they completed their annual fall tree seed harvest. Using an SJ45 AJ+ articulating boom lift, The Arboretum collected seeds for research, grounds development, and to aid in the archiving of threatened woody plants. Skyjack was also the presenting sponsor of the annual Arboretum Expo: Tree Day & Plant Sale that took place in September.

“Skyjack has been a long-time partner of The Arboretum and we are thrilled to see our SJ45 AJ+ articulating boom effectively and safely assist The Arboretum team as they access and collect seeds at height from delicate tree canopies,” said Malcolm Early, Skyjack’s Vice President of Marketing. “The Arboretum connects people with nature in meaningful ways and Skyjack is happy to support this community-strengthening effort.”

The Arboretum encompasses 400 acres in Guelph and features plant collections, gardens, walking trails, natural woodlands, wetlands, and meadows. The Arboretum grounds are open to the public daily, from dawn to dusk.

The SJ45 AJ+ articulating boom’s axle-based drive system, with oscillating steer, provides unmatched terrain ability and low maintenance. The machine’s light weight increases run-time and ease of transport in electric mode. This boom offers high-level productivity and performance with a 660 lb (300 kg) capacity, solid grip-lug tires, and innovative EASYDRIVETM, SKYRISERTM, and SPEEDYREACHTM functionality.
