Skyjack Supports Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington’s Shredding Event Fundraiser

POSTED October 02, 2025

October 2, 2025; Linamar Corporation’s (TSX:LNR) Skyjack division proudly supported the Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington (CSGW) Shredding Event fundraiser again this fall. This drive-through event, hosted on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Skyjack’s P2 parking lot in Guelph, allowed participants to have their personal or business documents safely and securely shredded, complete with certificates of destruction. Safely shredding these types of documents helps prevent identity theft, which is a growing concern in the region.

This year’s event saw 198 vehicles drive through, raising a total of $5,920. With Skyjack’s support, and the mobile shredding services of Republic Services, all proceeds were able to go directly to the non-profit Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington to support their fight against crime. CSGW, incorporated in 1988, promotes awareness within the community and continues to educate the public in making the community safer.

2025 marks Skyjack’s sixth time hosting the event. As longtime supporters of CSGW, Skyjack is also a past recipient of the annual Cornerstone Award from the organization.

“Once again, the Guelph Shredding Event was a tremendous success. We have outstanding volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure our loyal customers move quickly and safely through the event, and we could not offer this service without the ongoing support of SkyJack,” said Sarah Bowers-Peter, CSGW Program Coordinator. “It’s rewarding to see we can reduce the chance of identity theft, while also raising funds for Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington. Having a corporate sponsor who also hosts the event is so appreciated by the Board of Directors and speaks to the investment SkyJack has in community safety.”

“We are always happy to support our local community, and the annual Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington Shredding Event is no exception,” says Malcolm Early, Vice President of Marketing at Skyjack. “We value the work that CSGW does for our community and are proud to continue to support their efforts.”
