Skyjack expands support across North America

Skyjack bolsters North American presence with six new hires

November 1, 2017; Guelph, Ontario – Linamar Corporation’s (TSX-LNR) Skyjack division is expanding its simply reliable support across North America with six new hires that include two Territory Sales Managers and four Field Service Representatives.

“As we continue to broaden our portfolio of access and material handling equipment, we are also expanding our field presence with our sales and product support teams across North America,” said Eric Liner, executive vice president, Americas.

The new hires include:
• Nathan Defibaugh, Territory Sales Manager, Western New York & Western Pennsylvania

Defibaugh has two decades of experience in the construction equipment rental industry. Prior to joining Skyjack, he worked his way up through the ranks and held a variety of positions including Branch Manager, District Sales Manager and most recently as a Key Account Manager, where he continued to achieve impressive revenue growth year after year.

• Octavio Perez, Territory Sales Manager, Southern California, Southern Nevada & Hawaii

Perez joins our team with over 16 years of experience in the material handling industry. His experiences range from product support to sales, having been a Field Service Technician, Service Manager and most recently, having spent the last decade as a Territory Sales Manager. He is also a veteran, having served in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist 2nd Class for 10 years.

• Trevor Collins, Field Service Representative, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri

Collins has several years of experience working as a Field Service Technician at Halliburton Energy Services and John Deere. He brings with him a wealth of hands-on experience and an extensive technical training background. He also served in the United States Navy for five years, having worked on several nuclear-powered submarines.

• Derek Marshall, Field Service Representative, Texas

Throughout his career, Marshall has worked specifically on Aerial Work Platforms as a Field Service Technician and Technical Trainer. He has earned his Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic Certification from the International Fluid Power Society and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. Prior to joining the industry, he served four years in the United States Navy.

• Randy Sweet, Field Service Representative, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona

Sweet has worked in the customer parts and service area of industrial, automotive and rental industries for nearly 30 years. He started his career as a shop technician and later went on to manage parts and service departments. He brings a solid business acumen and appreciation of rental companies’ product support expectations.

• Travis White, Field Service Representative, Florida, Georgia

White is a 20 year veteran of providing technical service in the lift truck industry. Prior to joining Skyjack, he was a Senior Field Technician & Trainer where he directed technical and operator training courses for new company team members and end user customers alike. He brings with him expansive experience and great customer relationships.
